So as this thing becomes a reality, what can a girl do but dream about what to wear?
From what I’ve read about Patagonia, it comes with its own special set of rules when it comes to what to pack.
Sometimes it can rain out of nowhere as you stare into the wonders of a glacier.
Sometimes the wind can come out of anything as you admire a mountain. The “Williwaw” is common in Southern Patagonia which is a sharp and strong wind is generated from dense cold mountain air accelerated with the force of gravity, mixed with God’s sneeze after a brainfreeze.
So how do you prepare for that kind of stuff? Everyone says make like a cake and layer! Well I came across this ultralight jacket for hopefully running the marathon and keeping me warm and dry (just in case) without weighing me down. Mountain Hardware created this new type of fabric called “Ghost Whisperer” Fabric, in which only one mill in the entire world (probably filled with tiny elves with tiny hands and needles) can create this fabric. Check out their video here.
This Ghost Whisperer Women’s Anorak Jacket is not only light (2 oz - probably the weight of the tiny worker elf) but packs tightly into a small pouch on my hydration backpack. I’m loving this Geyser color. I mean how cute (and practical) is this?
Let’s cross our fingers and hope I can find it on sale somewhere!
I’m maybe hoping Andy could get the Men’s Jacket and we can rock out Patagonia together! ;)
